Monash Research Training Program Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following criteria in order to participate in the Monash Research Training Program:
- Only English is Acceptable. You need to be proficient in English to enroll at Monash University.
- All countries throughout the world are welcome to apply.
- All foreign students from outside Australia are welcome to apply.
- Citizens of Zealand are also welcome for application.
- A native of Australia.
- Indefinitely residing in Australia.
- Visa holders’ under Australia’s humanitarian program.
- Four years of full-time study are required for a bachelor’s degree, and this coursework typically includes a research component in the last year, leading to an honors 1 or 2A in the major.
- A program leading to a degree that is determined to be equal to an honors 1 or 2A by the relevant department, faculty, and committee.
- Earning a Master’s degree typically requires at least one full-time year’s worth of work, with at least a quarter of that time dedicated to research and culminating in a thesis. The research thesis or project is typically anticipated to have received an honors 2A grade. Examiners’ reports shall be considered in cases where no grades were assigned.
- Possess credentials that, in GRC’s estimation, are roughly equal.
Scholarships are given to students who demonstrate academic promise, research potential, and/or research experience.
Have not held a Postgraduate Research Grant financed by the Australian Government or Monash University for more than six months prior to applying.
